For our paving products we partner with a reliable third-party pallet delivery service to manage with care and efficiency. Please note that this service uses large vehicles, typically weighing 18-24 tonnes, which are significantly larger than standard utility vehicles like fire engines or bin lorries. It is crucial that there is suitable access to your property for both arrival and departure of the delivery vehicle.
Important Delivery Requirements
- Kerbside Delivery Only: This is a kerbside-only delivery service. A driver will unload the pallet from a curtain-sided wagon using a manual pump truck, placing your pallet/crate of paving at the nearest accessible kerbside.
- No Crane or HIAB Unloading: This service does not include a crane (HIAB) for lifting. The driver cannot move goods beyond what the pump truck can reach.
Preparing for Delivery
- Access: Ensure there is clear, unrestricted access for an 18-24 tonne vehicle. Deliveries cannot be completed on roads with low-hanging trees, tight country lanes, or other restrictions.
- Hardstanding Surface: The delivery pump truck requires a hardstanding surface to operate safely. This means a solid, flat surface like concrete, tarmac, or paving. Delivery cannot be completed on grass, gravel, or loose ground.
If the delivery cannot be completed due to access or surface restrictions, the following options and costs apply:
- Depot Collection: If the delivery cannot reach your property, you may choose to collect your pallet from a local depot.
- Redelivery Costs: Failed deliveries due to access issues will incur a redelivery fee starting from £45 per pallet.
- Return Costs: If the pallet needs to be returned to us, return costs start from £55 per pallet.
By ensuring these requirements are met, you help us provide a smooth and efficient delivery process.
